A great deal of rural enterprise in northern Ghana is profitable only because the producer is not counting their own labour. Much of this work starts with costing, and it is frequently uncomfortable.
From there it moves to quality and consistency, packaging, group marketing and access to finance — with students from the business school doing a good deal of the hands-on work during placements.
